As part of our overall vision to help students realise their educational aspirations, Test Champs not only offer NAPLAN and Selective School Entrance Test Practice but also UCAT Prep. Test Champs has now partnered with Fraser’s UCAT to provide exam prep for UCAT for Year 11 and 12 students in all states of Australia. With its strong reputation in UCAT/GAMSAT coaching, Fraser has a good track record of success with students getting an offer to medical schools.
Most medical schools in Australia and New Zealand require students to have achieved a high University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) score in addition to a good ATAR score to be considered for admission into their undergraduate medicine, dentistry and clinical science courses. Part of the selection criteria is for students to also perform well in an interview. Fraser’s UCAT has a comprehensive range of courses to help students ace the UCAT, along with an interview.
Formally known as the UMAT, which is a written examination with 3 sections combined in the single paper of 3 hours, the UCAT is a 2-hour computer-based exam with 5 individual sections on Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning and Situational Judgement. Hence, the UCAT is a more rigorous examination that tests students based on more content in a shorter time.
The uncertainties caused by COVID 19 has certainly caused anxiety in Year 12 students, especially so for those who have also enrolled for the UCAT. While some universities have stated that they are willing to make offers for some courses based on Year 11 results, the strong competition for places in medical schools means that offers still depend on the UCAT and ATAR scores.
With the UCAT looming in the month of July, there is little time to waste if your child has enrolled to take the UCAT this year. Check out how to ace the UCAT here https://frasersgamsat.samcart.com/referral/scholastic-excellence/grqYUt0aL9rkyB9N
